Quebec’s newspaper awards
Multiple nominations for Bulletin d’Aylmer
The Quebec Community Newspaper Association announced March 19 its nominations for the best newspaper components for the past year, 2017, and they indicate that the Outaouais is very well served by its traditional media.
The Bulletin d’Aylmer won nominations in three categories, while the West Quebec Post added one to the list. The Bulletin received nods for Best French-language News article (Laurent Robillard-Cardinal on the rebuilding of the Imagier arts centre), the Best French-language Editorial/Column (Didier Périès – “Avant nous le deluge . . .”) and the Best Editorial Page. The Post was nominated for Best advertising Creation, small format, by Bobby Lepage.
The Bulletin’s sister newspaper, the Pontiac Journal, received nominations in five categories.
Across the region, the Outaouais’ real media added another 18 nominations to the list, indicating the high quality of news service provided to the region’s readers. The nominations and final winners are selected by independent judges from the media and journalism schools across Canada.
