As the summer months start winding down, the Bulletin would like to remind everyone of the beautiful sights, sounds and scenery that can be explored on a walk or bike ride around town.

The leisurely pace of an Aylmer staycation makes Old Aylmer ideal for visitors and locals alike and free parking is abundant so the car can be left behind to breathe in the pleasant summer air from the top of Principale down to the Marina.

Rent a kayak or paddle boat at the sailing club, visit the Auberge-Symmes museum or one of our many art galleries such as Bouquinart, Espace 33 or the Imagier’s new building to see some of the ongoing exhibits

Drop by Boulangerie 2 frères for a delicious snack or the renovated Rapido on Front Street to pick a craft beer from their impeccable selection.

If you’re more of a history buff download the Baladodecouverte app from the Apple Store or Google Play and explore 34 points of interest over a distance of 1.5 kilometres between Front Street and Wilfrid-Lavigne Boulevard.

The Gatineau Autoshow will take place at the Parc des Cèdres from August 9 to 11 and the weekend after that Principale Street will be covered from top to bottom with various activities and events for the Festival de la Principale, August 16, 17 and 18.
