Potter’s Wheel gets permanent location
For the past eight years, the Potter’s Wheel Christian Fellowship has met weekly at the Aylmer United Church (164 rue Principal). This June, the group will be moving to a permanent space within the building of the Aylmer Food Bank, which has also recently relocated to 67 du Couvent. It’s a big change for the group who had previously rented a block of time from the United Church. They will also be changing the time of their Sunday service from 3 pm to a 10 am morning service.
The Fellowship has been in existence for more than 12 years. They make monthly donations to the Aylmer women’s shelter, food bank and Accès seniors organization.
Reverend André Bigras said that “renovations are currently underway at the new space, but we are hoping to be moved in by the end of next week.” Bigras also stated that he feels “the move is a win-win for us and for the Food Bank”. The first official service will be at 10 am on Sunday, June 11.
