 Pothole Festival?

I understand that the City recently held its annual Pothole Day Festival and the mayor was out showing how potholes are filled -- until a paving crew can make the job as permanent as it can ever be. I'm sorry I missed this wonderful intervention by our new mayor and I wonder if I can request she come to my street here in Aylmer (I know there are plenty of examples closer to the mayor's office in Hull) just to show that our street's feeling of futility is wrongly placed.  If she would shovel a few holes full of sticky gravel, we would be greatly encouraged to do the same in front of each our our houses.  Or would she rather recommend we stop driving?  That would be a solution  with actual bonus-points.
