Politics today is very strange

So different from a previous age.

It used to be left versus right

Now, it’s become a gender fight.

Morality, too, has entered the fray

In Canada and the USA.

*

In Canada, it’s jail versus healing lodge!

In the States, it’s professor vs US judge!

*

Politics today? - more complicated, for sure.

With supporters and detractors, like never before.

*

Divisiveness now seems to reign supreme.

Diversity should be the name of the game.

*

‘round and ‘round this “whirligig” goes

Where it will stop, nobody knows!
