Personnages de Légende theatre performance on tour this summer
Following the success of the play over the last two years, the Dérives Urbaines Théâtre will once again present their original production “Personnages de Légende”, which focuses on the quality and creativity of local actors as well as the history of the Outaouais region.
Access to outdoor performances will be free every Saturday in July at various sites across the City of Gatineau, from Aylmer to Buckingham.
Lasting about 45 minutes, the play is geared towards a full family audience and aims to present characters and events that have marked the history of the City of Gatineau in a humorous way.
The four actors present on stage, Renée Aubin, Catherine Rousseau, Marc-André Charette and Patrick Potvin, will interpret author Luc Moquin’s work which revisits the origins of the city since the establishment of Philemon Wright in 1800.
The creative team behind the play is composed of director Mathieu Charette, scenography, costumes expert Andrée-Ève Archambault, and artistic director Catherine Rousseau.
The shows will be presented in French only from 1:30 to 3:30 on July 6 at the Parc des Cèdres in Aylmer, on July 13 at the Quai des artistes in Gatineau, on July 20 at the Parc du 8 octobre 1908 in Buckingham and on July 27 at the Parc du Portage in Hull.
