Pedestrian dies near Galeries Aylmer

An 89 year old man was hit by a car on August 7, just before 11:30 am, as he was walking across the Aylmer Road. The man was transported to the Hull hospital before being transferred to the Ottawa Civic Hospital where he died.

The incident occurred in front of 203 Aylmer Road, near the Galeries Aylmer.

The Gatineau police do not want to reveal the circumstances that led to the collision. At press time, the victim had not yet been identified. The investigation of the scene and the results of the autopsy will reveal more details.
