Pay increase for councillors?

 

So the mayor and his Action Gatineau councillors voted for salary increases. Good thing there is some sanity on council (and the idea was rejected). If they want pay equity, quit paying councillors extra  for chairing committees and so on. A councillor’s work can be a thankless endeavour but anyone choosing  to run, or an  incumbent, should remember they are offering a public service.

If they want more money, go find another job.
