Parking at the Aylmer marina – caution!

 

I brought my dog to the Aylmer Marina one Tuesday evening around 7:15 for a little walk. Imagine my surprise when I returned 15 minutes later to find a $53 parking ticket on my windscreen! Because the lot was almost empty, I parked along the edge of where the towing vehicles park, not realizing that non-towing vehicles are not allowed there. The signage is in French only, making it difficult for any non-speaking French visitor to understand, and because of the hour and emptiness of the parking lot, surely a warning would have sufficed?  

It is this kind of heavy-handedness that destroys what otherwise should have been a pleasant experience
