LETTER
ELECTIONS 2017
Park safety
I sympathize with those who will be inconvenienced (Bob McDougall's letter about a fine for crossing a city park) but I am grateful that the city is, at last, taking park security seriously. My house borders on a city park and for three years my neighbours and I were terrorized by arsonist(s). Over a two year period, ten cases of arson were reported in our area. All of the fires were set after dark. Sheds, fences and hedges were destroyed. It is unfortunate that my security has to come at someone else's expense. I will vote for the candidate who will promise to make park security a priority.
