Pan-Pacific trade deal and “buy-local”
Moving our industries abroad (thanks to trade deals like NAFTA) caused us to lose many jobs -- and lots of fuel is required to bring back the merchandise. So we should “buy local” when possible. To keep that possible, the government of Canada must renege on the TransPacific Partnership because it would allow corporations to sue us if we had “buy local” policies they feel might hamper their expected profits.
Solar and wind power, energy efficiency, plus strong local economies will help save our climate. Let's do it.
