Outaouais Orthodontics, local people providing exceptional specialised orthodontic care
Right in the heart of Aylmer, Outaouais Orthodontics is a thriving practice run by the only orthodontist in the region to have actually grown up here: Dr Brent Cote. “My connection with patients and their families is a special one as it goes beyond business,” Dr Cote said. “I am deeply involved in the community that I was raised in. Since the day the clinic opened, I always put aside funds –even when there wasn’t much to go around– for sponsorships of local schools, sports organizations, and cultural events. I’ve also really enjoyed getting more personally involved such as when I was the head coach of the senior boys’ basketball team at my former high school, Grande-Rivière, during my first three years of practice. We’ll also be hosting our fifth annual ‘Mouthguard Clinic’ next month, which is an event where we make custom-fitted mouthguards entirely free of charge for any of the local hockey players who wish to have one; as a former Aylmer Marinier myself, it feels great to be able to help out in such a tangible manner.”
In just its fifth year of operation, Outaouais Orthodontics has already become a premier destination for the orthodontic care of not only Aylmer’s citizens, but also of those of the entire National Capital Region. Indeed, though they have many options much closer to home, people from as far north as Maniwaki, to as far east as Rockland, to as far west as Carleton Place have chosen Outaouais Orthodontics so that they may receive their treatment from someone they feel offers the very best service and care in the region. When asked how his reputation spread so quickly around the Ottawa Valley region to help him cultivate a loyal and widespread drawing base, Dr Cote answered:
“Not only did I grow up in the Gatineau-Ottawa region, but I also practiced as a general dentist here from 2004 to 2007. I saw mainly young people who were afraid of receiving dental care and who had tried to do so at other offices but were unable to cooperate well enough, so I quickly became known already back then as having a very gentle, patient, understanding approach that was really well-suited for treating young people, and my dental colleagues thus referred many children and teens to me, even as a fellow general dentist at that time; my transition into the specialty of orthodontics was therefore as natural and harmonious as could be, since I had already established an excellent reputation amongst my colleagues. Couple that with solid core values underscored by uncompromising personalized care, a cutting-edge facility, and the unique services that we provide –such as digital tooth impressions, digital x-rays, 3D digital x-rays, digital charting, one-step consultations entirely with the orthodontist, ample free parking, early morning appointment times, late afternoon appointments times, a fun rewards program for patients, and flexible zero-interest in-house financing that allows essentially anyone to receive care regardless of their budget–, and it didn’t take very long for the word to spread I guess.
“I’ll be forever thankful for the community’s response to finally having a dedicated orthodontist in Aylmer, and getting a strong response from the rest of the Capital Region was just an unexpected bonus. I can’t imagine loving a career any more than I do orthodontics, and it’s that more rewarding to be able to practice what I love in the community that I was raised in.”
In addition to providing service that exceeds expectations on a consistent basis, Dr Cote is committed to remaining current with everything in field of orthodontics so that he may always offer the best possible treatment options to each patient. Not surprisingly then, Dr Cote has been by far the top Invisalign provider in the region for each of the past five years. Invisalign is a clear, removable alternative to traditional braces, and he is the only orthodontist in the region to have achieved the rank of Premier Provider of this appliance. Since more and more adults are opting to undergo orthodontic care each year, this innovation is a particularly attractive one for many patients.
To book a consultation appointment with Dr Cote, prospective patients or their parents may call or email his office directly – a referral from a general dentist is welcomed, but not required.
