Open Letter to MP Fergus, Premier Couillard & Mayor Pedneaud-Jobin

 

Why has the Liberal Government of Quebec decided to eliminate the Public Transit Tax Credit? I and others who drive and pay our SAAQ Insurance, plus pay our municipal tax, have to pay a Transit Tax every year which is part of the fee breakdown.  This can amount to $400 or more! Are we responsible for the lack of budgeting on the part of STO?  If I have to pay to subsidize STO, then should I not get a free bus pass?
