One dead in Luskville residential fire
A man died in a residential fire on Kawartha Road in Luskville on Saturday, January 19. The fire was reported at around 7 o’clock that morning and completely destroyed the house. The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, had not evacuated the house after the fire started. Everything suggests that he was the owner of the house, according to the Public Security of the MRC des Collines-de- l’Outaouais. After several hours of searching, the fire brigade was able to locate the man’s body in the rubble.
The possibility of arson is not being considered by the Municipality of Pontiac firefighters. An autopsy will be performed on the victim’s body in the coming days in Montreal.
