LETTER
One car-wash gets dirty
Saturday afternoons, my weekly ritual is to go to the car wash -- I like a clean car. This time, I put the last $10 in my pocket in the change machine, but no change came out. It has happened before. Short-changed by a loonie, no big deal, but $10! I went inside to tell the attendant but his reply was, ‘’How do I know that you put $10 in the machine?’’ You can imagine my response. I even called the telephone number provided and left a message but no call back.
Where are the honest and trusting businesses these days? What happened to “The customer is always right?’’ I believe in supporting small local businesses, but with what happened, do you think I’m going to go back there? I’ll go to the other one; this place lost my business.
When you use these machines and get ripped off, make a complaint, say something. Best, make sure you have the right change in your pocket!
