On the career ambitions of Greta Thunberg

In the days after the Emmys, the Aylmer Bulletin has remained silent about the achievements of so many talented people, not the least of which is the well deserved win by Peter Dinklage. At barely 4 feet tall and living homeless on the street just a decade ago, he has been the prime reason why “Game Of Thrones” has been such a success, a beloved inspiration to so many people.

 

Instead, both the front page and editorial of the Aylmer Bulletin were devoted to Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg, one of the hammiest actresses who has been pretending to be an innocent schoolgirl.  Despite being the daughter of an opera singer and an actor, she turned in such a career-stopping performance in the Spanish flick, “Ave Paraiso”, slammed by critics, that she has travelled to the UN in an attempt to get some cheap publicity for her failing acting career.  

Indeed, IMDB, Hollywood’s online database, has details about her life and acting career, yet still the UN and the Aylmer Bulletin fell for her cliched performance, hoodwinking them into believing her Global Warming Fairy Story despite a performance that would have shamed Uwe Boll and made her [in my opinion] a shoe-in at the next year’s Golden Razzies Awards for Worse Actress in a Leading Role. 

 

Please, Aylmer Bulletin, could we have news in your newspaper, not just some cheap publicity stunt by a starlet trying to restart her career in the motion picture industry?

Fact Check: Ms Thunberg is not “pretending” to be young; she is 16.  Her “failing acting career” is nine-months long, hardly a “career”, and so hardly to be “restarted”; it consists of three roles,  one directly promoting her climate mission and one a voice-only role. No critics were cited,  or found,  for her voice-only role.  Her “travel to the UN” was intended to, and in fact did, launch a movement by the world’s youth to urge action to avoid the climate catastrophe, predicted by most scientists relevant to this issue.  Calling global warming a “fairy story” ignores  the evidence, scientific measurements and modelling, without offering any evidence for the writer’s contrarian opinion.
