Nuclear waste: Our river needs our help

 

How do you feel about 1,000,000 m3 of radioactive waste being abandoned in an "engineered landfill" beside your Ottawa River?

This is what Canadian Nuclear Laboratories proposes for their Chalk River site. They hope to build a permanent facility to include nuclear waste from across the country. There is no expiry date – we would have to live with it for thousands of years.

We must have all the facts on the table.
