No winter tires?
This is in response to "Unknown"’s letter dated July 27, 2022 (page 5). Before you print letters, do you research their information for validity? Letters of this calibre lower the integrity of what a local paper is supposed to do - inform and educate their readers. To find out the truth and history on tires, please read the Traffic Injury Research Foundation's article on 'Winter Tires: A Review of Research on Effectiveness and Use’ ( HYPERLINK "https://tirf.ca/" n _blankhttps://tirf.ca). The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) was contracted by the Winter Driving Safety Coalition comprised of the Canadian Automobile Association South Central Office, Ontario Safety League, Rubber Association of Canada, Ontario Hospital Association and Canadian Tire to review the literature on winter tires and safe winter driving. TIRF is an independent, charitable road safety institute.
In the same edition on page 6, Dites votre mot: Lettre à l’éditorial, you state "toutes les lettres doivent être signée avec un numéro de téléphone (non publié)". So how did a letter with uninformed juvenile content signed "Unknown" slip the editors?
