Le Plateau daycare to expand

During the February 14 city council meeting, parents turned out en masse to ask the city to approve a request for a minor variance that would allow the Royaume des Enfants daycare on rue du Tropique in Le Plateau to expand by 34 spots.  Council approved the expansion at the end of the meeting, and Marie Berrafato, owner and director of the daycare, commented, “I’m getting emails galore from happy parents.”  She told the Bulletin that one problem facing all young families in Le Plateau is that the province has not approved subsidized daycare spots for the past four years.
