No drones over Parks Canada sites: $25,000 fine 

Drone pilots are encouraged to check if they need permission to fly if they’re planning flights near or around Parks Canada sites.  Failure to do so could result in a $25,000 fine. Parks Canada acknowledges drone flying is both a widespread hobby and increasingly popular commercial enterprise.  However, all Parks Canada sites are ‘no drone zones’ for recreational drone pilots. On occasion, commercial or ‘non-recreational’ drone pilots can operate within the national parks, but only once they have gained the necessary permissions from the appropriate authorities.
