New service centre -- is it Aylmer's?
I have lived just outside Aylmer for years, and I have always admired the Place des pionniers. It seemed well organized and cleanly designed; it fit in with its surroundings and old Aylmer's character, despite being new. Now with it gone, replaced by a big fence, the space seems small and insignificant.
Isn't that the sign of good design? I hope the city's new structure will meet and exceed these standards -- lending character to Aylmer, and not just another "modern" glass and steel structure which could exist anywhere, and be unnoticed by everyone. There are a lot of expectations for this new building, City Councillors!
