Aylmer Bulletin
Gatineau is looking to renovate Aylmer’s Frank Robinson Arena. On February 28, the city launched a call for tender seeking bids to renovate the arena’s roof. The deadline is March 21, 2019. Work will in all likelihood be carried out this summer.
With 46 years of history, the Frank Robinson Arena is one of the city’s oldest rinks. According to a report commissioned by the city on the state of the municipal arenas, the facility condition index of Aylmer’s oldest arena is 66%. The estimated cost to fully upgrade the arena built in 1973 is just under $3.5 million.
