Fun
Factor, a new indoor play space for children, opened its doors last
week in the Galeries Aylmer. The indoor playground includes a 20'x30'
play structure, various activities and interactive games for children
between the ages of 3 to 11 years old. Fun Factor is designed for kids
to burn energy, use their minds and entertain themselves. Children can
climb through the maze of tubes and slides or play with fun and
educational toys such as lego, Thomas the Train, play kitchen as well as
other fun activities.
The owners, Bobby MacDonald and his wife Jen
Putnam, are longtime Aylmer residents and own Full of Beans Party Rental
which is now operating out of the same location after being a mobile
business for many years.
Full of Beans offers balloons for a variety
of occasions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and holidays.
Additionally, they offer balloon displays such as archways, garlands,
and other balloon installations.
Fun Factor took over the previous
kids amusement center in the mall and added improvements such as more
activities and games. MacDonald tells the Bulletin and Pontiac Journal
they are hoping to add a toddler area as well as more educational
interactive electronic games. Currently children must have an adult with
them in the playground. Future plans include a drop off and after
school program.
Fun Factor is also available for birthday parties.
There are two party rooms that can be rented for kids to host
celebrations with all the activities and games available for them to
use. (SD)
