New Housing project adjacent to Gatineau Park

 

I go hiking at one of the most beautiful places in Gatineau Park, the Luskville Falls Trail. I am concerned that a new housing development here will spoil the beauty of the surroundings of the trail. This is one of the nicest hiking places in the Ottawa-Gatineau area and it is mentioned on tripadvisor and other sites on the Internet.

A glance at the developer's website, domainedeschutes.ca, will show right away how near the lots are to the trail and Gatineau Park. How have the National Capital Commission and the Municipality of Pontiac reacted to this development?

(We need) to promote awareness of the impact of housing developments near Gatineau Park. I believe that many people share my view that some places must be preserved from development. There are so many other places that can be developed without having such an impact on the environment.
