New Deschênes plan?

 

No destruction of Deschenes Rapids ruins, as I read in the Bulletin, or are the proposals now even worse?  Give the local population a say in the final decision, local people, not city hall or Quebec!

A new plan might work, but only if we can make use of the money locally. Not bureaucrats in Quebec City deciding what’s next, please!  Many people in our area are concerned the waterfront will simply get fenced off, and with a big ugly fence. Right now people can access the river from anywhere, and that attracts many visitors as well as locals.  You should see how busy the trail is on a nice weekend!
