New 4-way stop at the intersection of Brook and Eardley
A new 4-way stop has been put into place at the intersection of Brook and Eardley right in front of École du Village primary school.
Long cited as an unsafe crossing for school children due to the odd street layout, which affects visibility, as well as speeding issues and the high circulation rate, district Councillor Audrey Bureau was overjoyed about announcing the new 4-way stop.
In an interview with the Bulletin, Ms Bureau stated that “the new signs are amazing news which should help minimize many of the issues that have plagued the street for years.” She also maintained that “people should remain cautious in the area as the city continues to do work on Eardley.”
According to Ms Bureau, pedestrian crossings in the area should be completed sometime in 2020 as part of the largest ongoing roadwork and aqueduct replacement on Eardley, set to go on for the next two or three years.
