Mr d’Eça’s use of the Ottawa Sun
If Mr Black is going to accuse Mr d'Eça of plagiarism, perhaps he could cite a specific example. Otherwise. it reads like yet another ad hominem attack. And it stinks of hubris and arrogance to attribute a lack of independence and therefore intellect to one's opponent by saying they merely parrot material found elsewhere. The implication is clear: there’s only one right answer and you couldn't possibly have come to the opposite conclusion by honest means and need proper intellectual guidance. It would be easy to find writers online agreeing closely with Mr Black's points of view, but of course that doesn't mean his views are lifted from those sources. Finally, it's possible to be influenced and inspired by sources without necessitating that one lacks a critical faculty and independent analysis.
