More on dress codes: uniforms?

 

The writers who pronounced themselves so forcefully on the subject of school dress codes did not tell us what is wrong with school uniforms. Why not uniforms? Is it because that “would be telling a woman what to wear”? As if every magazine and TV ad does not tell women what to wear, put on their face, in their hair, and in their stomachs! Our economy is based on telling women, and men, what to buy (and use).
