Circle of Friends group raise money for students

Lillian Beaudoin and the Circle of Friends held an event to assist in raising $10,000 for five scholarships for local students, May 14. Students must have registered and be accepted into a university or college program to qualify. Qualified students must write an essay on “How to stop violence against women and children”.  The five successful candidates will receive $2,000 each.

The evening was filled with prizes, a 50/50 draw and a silent auction with gifts from local businesses. This is the third year that the Circle of Friends has raised money to support non-profit community events.
