Milestone for new
Aylmer High School
The construction project for École secondaire 040 near the Paul-Pelletier pool is progressing. On January 22, Gatineau confirmed the sale of the Paul-Pelletier Park property (approximately 15,345 m2) to the Commission scolaire des Portages-de-l’Outaouais (CSPO). The goal is to build a school that can accommodate about 810 students in the first half of 2020, one year later than initially planned.
The Council of Commissioners of the CSPO has already approved and authorized the transaction. The first sod-turning for School 040 is planned for 2019. According to the regulations, the School Board must obtain land from the City of Gatineau in order to build.
