Migrating raptors in Luskville-Eardley
On April 14, the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO) will host a tour to view Raptors migrating in Eardley (Pontiac, Luskville sector). Destination: by the end of Chemin Thérien in Eardley area, where we’ll attempt to observe raptors in their moves, drifting along Gatineau Park escarpment, hawks of various sizes, falcons, vultures and maybe bald eagles or even a golden eagle. It will be a good opportunity to become familiar with those species and to learn some tips for a good identification in the field. If raptors move very slowly, we’ll go watch them in surrounding fields. Other spring species will also occur. Level: for all. Bring your equipment, lunch and outdoor chair!
Rendez-vous : 7:15 am in the Galeries Aylmer parking (rue Principale), in front of Jean Coutu or 8 am at Chemin Thérien’s end. Outing will be cancelled in case of rain. Your host: Rodolphe Dubois (819-685-9159). We speak English.
