Mayor’s breakfast: the  great Christmas sharing

This annual event to raise money and gather food for those needing extra help over Christmas was held December 11 at the Lac Leamy Hilton congress centre. In two sittings, breakfast was served to hundreds of people who donated money and food. The Saint Vincent de Paul Society handles the donation portion and gathers the baskets for distribution. While the event garnered enough for 1,300 Christmas baskets, donations are still accepted. To sponsor a  basket for one, donate $50. $75 provides for a basket for two people, $100 for a three-person basket and $125 for a four-person basket.
