Call to the public for donations
Mayor’s Breakfast has a new component

With corporate donations a bit on the down side, the mayor’s breakfast organizers are asking the public to help and sponsor a Christmas basket. With the help of the Société Saint-Vincent de Paul and 350 volunteers, the upcoming 22nd edition aims to prepare and distribute 1250 baskets. Close to a quarter of these baskets will be distributed in Aylmer.
Donors can choose one of the 4 basket options – families of 1 to 4 people. Price ranges are: $50, $75, $100 and $125. Baskets will be purchased via the canadon Website. “If someone buys a $50 basket, all the money goes into buying food, no administration costs,” explains Guy Nadon, Mayor’s Breakfast President.
The Mayor’s Breakfast usually raises $100,000. This year it will be held on December 14 at the Lac-Leamy Congress Centre under the honorary chairmanship of Mayor Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin.
The Société Saint-Vincent de Paul will send income tax receipts to donors early in 2015.
