Maude Marquis-Bissonnette declared councillor for du Plateau

 

Ms Marquis-Bissonnette was acclaimed to the seat in Ward 4, October 28. The only other candidate in the district, Patrick Doyon, withdrew his candidacy that day following a Radio-Canada article detailing allegations of sexual impropriety towards co-workers. Nine women told the national media outlet about their experiences, dating back to the early 2000s. The Radio-Canada investigation began in 2013, noted the journalists.

Residents in the riding still have a vote to make on November 5, for mayor.
