Mature Tree survey in Wychwood

 

The Friends of Wychwood thanks residents of the neighbourhood for their engagement in the mature tree survey that took place June 4-5-6. The specialist took notes while observing from the street the number and types of mature trees of interest in each yard. For remarkable specimens, a volunteer from the Association was there to request the resident’s permission to access the yard so trees could be measured. Almost 100% of residents supported the initiative. This project will help residents of Wychwood in understanding, appreciating and contributing to preserve our unique tree cover, which is the mandate of the Friends of Wychwood.

The survey report will be available early in the fall.
