Gatineau City council to meet in Aylmer May 15
Councillors and the mayor will meet for their monthly council meeting in Aylmer, Tuesday, May 15. Council’s annual visit to Aylmer starts at 7 pm in the old city hall. The public’s question period opens the meeting, but residents must first put their name on a list if they intend to ask a question. The list will be available on site before the start of the meeting.
This important evening is held in Aylmer just once a year and seating is limited to about 150 people, so residents are advised to arrive early. A microphone is available for the public question period. Questions can be on any topic related to municipal affairs. Documents brought to council can be left for the councillors or mayor – but answers, when very detailed, may come later.
Major topics to be discussed by council include the future of the Lucy-Faris Library, the Ombudsman office, and more. (LR)
Meeting: 115 rue Principale (above the library), on the 5th floor, 7 pm.
