LETTER
Marina & park renovations?
I still have many questions about Gatineau’s plans for our jewel of a park, our sailing club’s centrepiece and our sports playground. I have many questions about the restaurant, too. The Bulletin pointed out that it looks like a big gas-station or maybe a primary school. That is unacceptable.
Aylmer and the whole city deserves to have a real showpiece here on the western entry to our “fourth-largest city in Québec”. Don’t just keep repeating this phrase; make it real. If we are in the big leagues, why do we pretend to be a suburb of Montreal?
The same goes for the plans for the new Imagier. What a lack of imagination! It looks like a Zellers store, reborn. This does not bode well for our new or rebuilt library. Come on, people, get rid of the bureaucratic thinking and let’s make Vieux Aylmer a place to be proud of!
