Marina & Parc des cèdres?
It seems like the project to facelift and improve the park and marina have again gone into hibernation in the caves of city hall – what’s happening? Will the Bulletin keep us informed on this, and will our councillors speak up on this project? I notice that some councillors are putting notices in the Bulletin about projects and updates. How about the Marina?
I read Mr Duggan’s suggestion that the library be expanded right where it is and take over Court Street – a great idea! As long as the nearby businesses are consulted. Right now Court is just parking spaces for the library. These large projects are real opportunities to be innovative and make Gatineau’s name well known.
I am concerned about the Parc des cèdres renovation – it must not become just another institutional building. It could be the door to the city, to the Ottawa River, and to our whole region’s history. Let’s think big!
