LETTER
Making a wrong right again
In the Bulletin’s issue of April 13, two reports caught my eye. First the city is struggling to keep a cap on the mess of the Cook Road dumpsite of decades ago. Good for them, even if it is costing us all a lot in taxes to keep this up. Second is about efforts to preserve the Boucher Forest in the centre of our city. Remember Alain Riel “guaranteeing” the Forest was “preserved for life”? This is exactly why politicians lack so much respect.
However, let’s see the city do the right thing with Boucher Forest, to make up for the wrong thing done so many, many years ago on Cook Road. Long-term protection, out of reach of developers. Wake up, planners! Stay alert, my friends!
