Lucerne Blvd line-up:  Fix it!

 

I would like to echo the recent letter writers to the Bulletin on the deplorable state of Boulevard Lucerne  between Vanier and Frank Robinson. It is inexplicable why the resurfacing, promised for 2021, then 2022, has been postponed until 2024 given the dangerous state of the road. All this while the City of Gatineau is “swimming in a surplus”, according to another newspaper. Yet we are to have every confidence that the city can build a tramway to the west, when by all evidence it cannot adequately maintain what it has?  I guess like the Habs or the Sens - “we’ll get ‘er done next year!”  Or in the case of Lucerne ...  maybe the year after that!
