---Local Middle Eastern bakery Hadalyna is back in business
Re-opening on April 28, after being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic, local Middle Eastern bakery Hadalyna is back in business and ready to indulge the community with its delicious delicacies from different ethnic cuisines.
Hadalyna owner Hoda Daoud told the Aylmer Bulletin she is extremely excited to get back in business. Looking forward to reconnecting with her customer base and sharing her love of food with them, she’s hopeful that the community will come out in droves to give her all the support she can get.
Located at 117 rue Front – Centre Riverview – Hadalyna mainly specializes in serving Middle Eastern and Greek pastries and savoury dishes, including a plethora of pies, shawarma, and desserts. Noting that all the food is homemade, fresh, and halal certified, Daoud said the bakery provides dishes from various other ethnic cuisines to accommodate everyone’s culinary palates. “I wanted to do something that is international,” she said.
The bakery also provides delivery to nearby residences and plans on expanding its reach in the future, as well as launching a website and establishing a social media presence. Remaining very cautious regarding the pandemic, Daoud said she’s rigorously applying all recommended safety measures. Initially opened at the same location around five years ago, she noted that she’s overjoyed to be back in a familiar space.
The bakery operates from 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am to 5 pm on weekends. Offering catering and take-out services, orders must be made with at least 15 minutes to a half-hour notice by calling (819) 743-6418.
