Local girls train for Jeux du Quebec
A girls’ team, L’Espoirs Outaouais, from Aylmer/Gatineau has been training for over a year for the Jeux du Quebec in Thetford Mines, July 27 to August 4, 2018.
There will be 3,700 athletes under 18 years of age competing in 18 sports; this is Thetford Mines’ third Games (1980, 2003, and 2018). With 40 full-time employees and 3,500 volunteers, teams from 19 regions of Quebec will be accommodated.
Representing the Outaouais are: Top Row; Assistant Eddy Fleming, Assistant Marie-Audrey Leblanc, #24 Aurélie Boyer, #14 Kyla Tambeau, #11 Jazmine Nina Romain, #13 Gabrielle Bolduc, #20 Aîcha Hassan-Omar, Assistant Kellie Forand, Coach Pat Bibeau. Bottom: #7 Alice Fleming, #22 Êva Kabano, #25 Maîa Feki, #10 Liantsoa Andriamihamisoa, #9 Angélique Morin, #15 Pamilya Pierre, and #12 Annika Fleming.
Team Espoirs will be fundraising at the Aylmer Maxi the weekend of the 14th and 15th of July. Please support these girls and their coaches!
