Local author’s book on sale in Aylmer
Greetings to friends, neighbours, teachers, co-workers, relatives, and teammates of my wonderful hometown of Deschênes/Aylmer! My name is Ernest Paul Murray (Ernie) and I have written a book of short stories and poetry called, Voices from the Cardboard Castle - Twelve Tales of Fiction.
I was born in Ottawa and lived in Deschênes and Aylmer until moving to beautiful Vancouver Island, BC in 1990, where I continue to reside. I loved my hometown and enjoyed playing hockey and other sports while pestering many fellow Aylmerites with my crazy sense of humour.
In Aylmer, I taught physical education for about six years, and in BC, I worked in the social services field for twenty-five years before recently retiring. In 2010, I wrote a one-act play called The Cardboard Castle for the Victoria Fringe Festival and it had some positive reviews. Since then, I have been inspired to write poetry, plays, and short stories of all kinds. In the spring of 2018, I completed the book, which includes drama, social themes, humour, mystery, and a bit of science fiction.
Voices from The Cardboard Castle - Twelve Tales of Fiction is now for sale at Librairie Michabou Bookstore at Galeries Aylmer for $20.
Thanks Aylmer and take care!
