Final election results were not available for the Bulletin’s printing deadline; according to Elections Canada it will take a week to compile complete results due to the new mail-in ballots.
However, as of our press time, incumbent Greg Fergus won the riding of Hull-Aylmer with over 50% of the vote in; with the NDP’s Samuel Gendron in second and the Bloc’s Simon Provost in third.
And, Sophie Chatel of the Liberals won the Pontiac riding with approximately 40% of the vote; Michel Gauthier of the Conservatives came in second and Gabrielle Desjardins of the Bloc Québecois, third.
Details of these results could possibly change once all the votes are counted. (BA)
