LETTER
Letter re Texan Conservatives
I know not Ms. Joanne Allen, but I find it positively uplifting to see that she agrees with me concerning Mr. Leclerc's delusional obsession with the dangers of Harperite Conservatism. That said, I must confess that I find it rather creepy that she should express herself with exactly the same words I might have used.
I'd appreciate your assuring her that I did not sign her name to my criticism of your star columnist.
On a more heart-warming topic, I must congratulate you for the photograph and story on Mr. Leslie Jamieson. I have nothing but admiration for this gentleman who has faithfully delivered my Bulletin for years. Those who know him will have noticed that the simple act of walking represents, for Mr. Jamieson, a challenge. Yet, he persists, and is always ready for a pleasant conversation. When I'm tempted to complain of my aches and pains, I'm reminded of him and, in shame, turn my thoughts to other matters. You have participated in saluting a gentleman who deserves high respect for his work ethic.
