Letter from ground zero in Deschênes

 

Thank you for the efforts of the Bulletin to help coordinate all the neighbourhoods in the Deschênes district, helping us get sand, opening stations in Deschênes. Just for being available at all times to get help saving homes and families. Thank you to all residents in Aylmer who so very much got involved. I am Anglophone and sometimes language is sticky, but in the emergency we just went through together, language barriers melted away.

It’s amazing how in a time of disaster, everyone becomes equal. It didn’t matter if the homes were million dollar homes or $130,000 homes, everyone rallied to save them.
