Wow, sounds so familiar, same old misinformation: Gun crimes keep getting lower and lower, even with the useless and expensive gun registry (another knee jerk reaction). When gun crimes do happen, a large majority are committed with unregistered handguns, so the "free new gun registry" will not change that fact. So naive to think a gun registry will not cost anything; if anyone believes that, that's sad. Handguns have and continue to be registered since 1934. A question of principle and value, you say: so your values and principle trump mine? Useless, expensive feel-good, pandering has never and will not deter criminals from violence.
