Launch of new fundraiser

Nycole Turmel, president of the Hull Rotary Club and Guy Leblanc launched the Aylmer à la Carte fundraiser February 26 at IGA des Grives. The objective is to raise $75,000 to help the Aylmer Food Centre and the Aylmer Popote roulante.

Audrey Bureau, councillor for the Aylmer district and Gilles Chagnon, councillor of the Lucerne district were both present. Ms Bureau underscored the importance of both organizations and the work they do in Aylmer and the always increasing need for food items as well as the generosity of Aylmer residents.

Ms Turmel and Mr Leblanc are well recognized and involved personalities in Aylmer; they are the honourary co-presidents of Aylmer à la Carte that will be held Saturday May 12 at the DoubleTree Hotel on Aylmer road. This activity is organized by the Hull Rotary Club in collaboration with the Aylmer Rotary Club.

Profits from the evening will be donated to two very important causes benefitting the disadvantaged living in Aylmer.
