Laflamme’s back on the back! 

I picked up this week’s issue at Loblaws (noticed it for the first time, I usually get it at Sol or Depanneur Rapido…),  nice to see good distribution is occurring.

I was thrilled to see Marché Laflamme back on the back page! I noticed they were missing in the past few issues in 2020 and was worried, “did they drop the Bulletin”, “are they in difficulty?” They were a staple on the back page for all of the 25+ years I have lived in Aylmer, although I may be exaggerating.  I hope you communicate our appreciation to Marius and his team that they are back. I am a regular shopper as I live in the neighbourhood (and was so in Hull, when I lived there).

EDITOR REPLIES:  Thank you, Ms Duggan. Your letter is wonderful!  Marché Laflamme decided last year that they wanted to go to every other week with their back page ad. It was a hard hit, as you can imagine. So, if you know of big advertisers who want prime space, there will be some available.

So you know, the Bulletin did okay in 2019.  2018 was a hard year, and we reached out to the community to help raise extra money when we had trouble paying our printing bill! It wasn’t easy to ask for help. But so many people tell us they want to help keep the Bulletin running that we swallowed our pride and asked. The community answered and we raised a bit of money - enough to bring our bills to date with both the printer and the distribution company. It was heartwarming for the team, so that help was two-fold (emotional lift for the team and actual lift with the finances). We didn’t need to ask for help in 2019 and that felt even better!
