L’Outaouais en fête: small changes for Aylmer’s favourite festival
This year’s Festivale L’Outaouais en fête, a four-day celebration for La Fête Nationale du Québec, offers something for everyone. Free entry is offered for the festival grounds (rides not included). On-site offerings include food stands, bouncy houses, carnival rides, circus artists and much more for the whole family to enjoy.
This year’s festival will have a focus on cultural diversity and intergenerational unity. The main stage at Parc de Cèdres will welcome Kevin Parent, Les Hay Babies, Les Colocs, La Chicane and many more artists. In past years, the fireworks display was held at 11:30 pm but this year organizers, responding to the needs of families, have moved the display closer to 10 pm, allowing more children to be in attendance. President of Impératif français, Jean-Paul Perreault, announced at a press conference that to celebrate Québec’s Fête Nationale they “did not limit themselves to only June 24. They understood that here in the Outaouais, the demand to celebrate Québec’s Fête Nationale was much more vast”. Festivale L’Outaouais en fête will run from June 22-25 at Parc des Cèdres.
